Hi, 5378! Thanks so much for stopping by!
My inspiration was the Carpenters’ song itself. For no apparent reason, old songs that I had heard in my childhood would just pop in my head– and I have no idea why. “Yesterday Once More” was just that song. I loved it when I first heard it during my elementary days. And although I didn’t really know what the lyrics meant at that time, the elegant melody was enough for me to know and love it by heart. I thought it was a beautiful song! And I still do, now.
Maybe, if the lyrics were translated into Tagalog during that time when I was a kid, I would have understood the song better. But in hindsight, I couldn’t have possibly dug the romance aspect of its lyrics. Bottom line, I love its melody!
And you’re right: love while we can still love, and touch people’s lives while they can still feel it!
