I do not know of any historical reference of anyone ever doing or having done an image– drawn by hand (however crude it was)– of Jesus when He (Jesus) was alive, nor do I recall any accurate physical description of Him in the Bible. The only closest depictions I can think of are from The Shroud of Turin, the Veil of Veronica and the Image of Edessa. Maybe, the reason for this is because His appearance is not as important as His deeds and His mission and that we ought to see His likeness in each one of us!
