Can’t we try

love sends someone for someone love left behind

love sends someone for someone love left behind, 12"x9", pen and ink on Bienfang 70-lb white paper

When you believe that you’ve finally found love, cherish it, nurture it, and don’t let it wither away. Because when you give up on love, it will take its true course and seek its own kind– the one that will truly make it grow. If you lost it because you did not try hard enough to make it thrive, you will need to move mountains and search high and low in order to bring it back to life. And on too many painful occasions, you’d just come up dry. Because by then this love that got away had finally met its match. And once love took root on sympathetic ground, it will take hold and flourish and bear fruits and you will have nothing more good to offer– except, perhaps, as weed that’s never really wanted around.

    • Very true, Pards! Love begets love! And according to the Bible, “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”[1 Corinthians 13:13 (New Living Translation)] So, love goes on– with or without us! That’s how powerful and eternal love is!
Take care, Pards, and GOD Bless you always!!!

  8. “love sends someone for someone love left behind”

when one is left behind, it’s difficult to find the way back. if you fought for love, sacrificed for love, and believed in love, when it goes, it leaves a wound so deep that maybe time can’t even heal. it’s like a knife that cuts through the soul and the pain is so real, you can only wish for death to save you from the pain.

you can only pray and hope for enough time to heal the wound, and strength to live every day. you pray even harder that there IS someone for someone who was left behind.

    • Hi, Chie! Thanks so much for stopping by.
I’m afraid I don’t really have the right words to say to ease the pain of a lost love. And I don’t even want to dwell on the depths of hurt it surely had caused. All I know is love is good. And if one ever stained it with betrayal, that guilty someone better fall on his/her knees and pray for mercy– because no amount of running away can keep him/her from retribution.
This world is a world of order, not of chaos (even if the news seemed to portray it otherwise). Love begets love. Hurt begets hurt. It’s been like this since the dawn of time.
I feel that when someone you truly love left you because of someone else, love will always find a way to get you through the misery: “Love always finds a way/ When the clouds have no silver lining/ She comes thru shining/ Love always sees the light/ Through the darkest night/ In a small way/ Love always finds a way.” I know that these are lyrics to a song. But I also believe that they sound true.
I hope that GOD will bless you with the wisdom to understand and to know the love He’ll send to rescue you– in His time.
Take care always, Chie!!! I ♄ you!

  9. that’s so right. love must fall on fertile soil; otherwise it will perish or will be gone with the wind until it’s no where to be found.. something i must’ve realized before… sad. 😩

    • Thanks so much, Jeremiah, for visiting my blog! I appreciate it a lot!
You’re still young, Jem, and all the careless decisions in your youth that you might have considered as mistakes are not such at all, but “experiences” that can teach you to be a better person. One has to learn from his/her mistakes in order to grow.
What I think is– love, because it is the greatest of all things that last, does not need any more tempering to be refined. It is already pure in itself and will exist with or without us. But it gives us the opportunity to partake of its blessings if we experience it towards our fellowmen or– by extension– to someone special we feel so strongly connected to. One must not tempt or test love to prove that it is love. Otherwise, it turns to doubt and mistrust and, ultimately, fades away. Believe in love, keep it precious, nurture it– and it’s yours forever!
Love always brings out the best in us. If someone makes you a much better person (than you ever thought possible), then, you may have met your life partner or soulmate already. In that case, “mabuhay ang bagong kasal!!!” 😀
Take care, Jem, and GOD Bless you always!!!
